From the Primary Principal
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to school!
Next Week: Primary Share – Come and join us on Tuesday at 14:00 for our 3rd Primary Share of the year. Your children are excited about showing you what they have been learning over the past few weeks. This is a lovely way to celebrate what we do and your involvement is very much appreciated by everyone.
Special Friday – Sofie Laguna from the Ubud Writers Festival will be joining us on the morning of Friday 30th. She will be running workshops with our students, helping them to develop compelling characters. As a special treat, we’re inviting all our students to come to school dressed as a favourite story character. We will end the day with a Pumpkin Dance for all our students in the MPR between 15:00 and 16:00. You are most welcome to join in the dancing. We may need to present parents with special participation certificates if you come dressed as your favourite story characters.
Change in After School Supervision: As we move into Session 2 of our After School Programme, please note that the small field between the Primary Office and Pre-School is being used for activities onMondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This means that we will only be able to provide supervision on this field until 3:15 on Wednesday’s and Fridays this quarter.
Pick Up After School: Primary students are not allowed to leave the classrooms by themselves at the end of the school day. Occasionally, parents are delayed. When this happens, primary students are escorted to the library so that they can be supervised until their parents arrive. Please remember to collect your children promptly at 14:45, so that this does not become a regular necessity.
Art Display: Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Junior StuCo Art Competition. Do come and see some of our winners displayed on the new StuCo Bulletin Board by the MPR. The students will be using this board to post regular updates of what is going on. They will also be starting a new “student voice” initiative. Keep your eyes on this space.
Thank you once again for all your support.
Alan
