Notes from the Head of School

Dear BIS Community,

We have had a great start to term 2.  The week has been filled with learning and the weekend will be exciting because we are hosting the IISSAC Football competition. Please come and support our students.  Thanks, as always, goes to the PTFA who will be sizzling sausages all weekend.

I would like to thank the vast majority of parents who have already paid the term 2 invoice.  For those of you who still need to complete this task, please be gently reminded that November 1st is the deadline for payment.

Next week, I will be away from school attending the EARCOS Administrators Conference in Bangkok. The East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) is an association which has approximately 150 member schools in the region and they support professional development within the association.  If you would like to learn more about them, please visit their website: https://www.earcos.org/about.php

As you have seen, thanks to Mr. Masse, we have a new e-news format.  I have posted other messages on the whole school area.  These include information concerning the appointment of the next Secondary Principal, information concerning the IB site and more.  Please do have a look!  We will continue, for the moment, posting to the e-news site and then sending ‘headlines’ in reminder emails every other week.

May I call your attention to the message from the Board?  Please read it and consider if you are able to volunteer some time to help the school with this important task.
