MUN delegates meet Peter Dalglish, Leader for Change and UN Mentor
Model United Nations is more than a simulation, it is also an opportunity to interact with real actors for change and to find mentors. Our BIS students had the privilege to meet Peter Dalglish, who accepted our invitation to be one of our motivational speakers at the Global Issues Network Conference we will be hosting in March 11-12, 2016.
After graduating from Stanford University and Dalhousie Law School, Peter gave up his profession as a lawyer to help working children, street children and war-affected children. In 1987, he founded Street Kids International, an agency that has become a global leader in designing self help projects for poor urban children. He is also currently employed by the United Nations as Senior Advisor and Chief of Party for UN Habitat Kabul, Afghanistan.
He is thrilled to be part of GIN Bali 2016 and our students are now his favourite GANG (Global Action Network Group)!
