Security Update
Following the Paris attacks security has again become a prominent issue.
In Bali, border security has been tightened at both Ngurah Rai Airport and the Port of Gilimanuk. There is also an increase presence of patrols in tourist areas such as Kuta.
Whilst all governments are recognising the heightened risk of terror attacks in their travel warnings, our meeting with the regional security team from the US consulate in Surabaya indicated there was no credible evidence of plans for attacks.
Our WASC/CIS visitors, whilst not security experts, have inspected a great number of schools and were particularly impressed with our security policies, procedures and systems in place.
At BIS we continue to monitor our surroundings, apply our systems of entrance control, and remain in contact with consulates and embassies to ensure our school remains a safe place for our community.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any comments or suggestions about our security measures and procedures.
