Grade 5 Sharing the Planet

WORLD AT LUNCH

Grade five are currently working on their Exhibition under the theme Sharing the Planet. One of the groups is inquiring into World Hunger. The Hunger Group wanted to take action by allowing their class to experience how people eat around the world.

World at Lunch is an event that the group have done with the grade 5 class.The class was split into 3 groups. It is basically 3 worlds; The 1st world gets a 3 course meal, the 2nd world gets nasi goreng and the 3rd world gets plain rice. We did this because we were looking at different parts of the world and we saw that in some countries they have no food so we wanted to do an event that our class can take part in and reflect on how they felt when they did this event

I learned about the three worlds and that the third world has the most people and they are jealous of the other two worlds. – Lara
