Grade 9 and 10 Parents – PSAT

On October 19, 2016 Grade 10 and 11 students have the option of taking the PSAT. The PSAT stands for Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test. Basically is the practice test for the SAT US college admissions test. Students may sign up for this test using this link. They will need to pay the Business Office 20 USD or 270.000 IDR by May 18.

All students considering studying in the USA (even if it is a small possibility), should take the test. It is also a good experience in standardized testing, so all students are welcome to give it a try.

Taking the PSAT gives students access to Kahn Academy resources, and practice tests/quizzes that can help them prepare for the SAT. Grade 11 students (current Grade 10), could take the PSAT in October and then take their first SAT test in June 2017. I will be speaking to the students about the test and how to prepare for it. American Grade 11 students who do well may qualify for scholarships. For more information about the PSAT, please click here.
