Dear Parents & Guardians,

Thank you very much to everyone who attended our 1st PTA Meeting on Wednesday 15th August – the turnout broke our current record of attendees which we are extremely grateful for. We are really hoping that this an indication of how much parents are going to get involved in the Community Activities this year.

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Stevenson as our PTA Secretary. Jane was elected unanimously by all parents present at our meeting and we very much look forward to working together with her throughout this academic year.

Furthermore we successfully found a volunteer to set up our “Second Hand Uniform Sale” – Leanne Ellis, Thank you very much indeed for helping create this new addition to the PTA responsibilities.

A huge Thank you to Briged & Allison who have very kindly volunteered to organize this year’s International Day which is being held on 21st September 2018. You will be hearing from them shortly with further information.

And we’d like to give a very big Thank you to everyone who has signed up to our “Helping Hands” initiative. We currently have a database of 26 parents who have kindly agreed to volunteer their time for upcoming events whenever their schedules permit. If you feel like becoming a “Helping Hand” please kindly let us know so we can put you on the list.

As of next PTA Meeting we will be changing the order of the Agenda. Garth has requested to have the last 15 minutes of our regular meeting for himself, Craig & Ross to communicate & update us and then afterwards to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee with us. We very happily & gratefully accept this change and very much welcome this opportunity of open communication.

Our next upcoming event is the Meet the Teachers Potluck on Thursday 24th August from 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm. Please kindly sign up via the below link indicating what you would like to bring along. This way we can get a good idea of how many people will be joining and how many resources we need to organise e.g. tables, crockery, cutlery etc.

This is a lovely way to end a busy week at school by enjoying an exciting variety of food and meeting the teachers in a casual setting. Please come along and be part of this enjoyable event.
