PTA Blood Drive
The PTA have organised a blood drive on 10 May from 8am onwards. They would be in batches of 4 people at one time and need a minimum of 30 donors, the PTA will be standing in the morning and afternoon for signups. There are some conditions for donating blood as follows:
- Min 17 year of age
- at least 50 kgs
- Hb count 12.5 – 17
- no medication
- sleep of 6 hrs
- Donors need to have had breakfast before donating blood
PTA Rafting Family Fun Day Out!
Members of the BIS community joined the Family Rafting Day Out on 13 April. It was great fun, and the PTA received lots of positive feedback- Any suggestions for another family day out are most welcome!
International Street Kids Day at Bali Life
On April 12, the charities coordinators of the PTA attended the celebration at BaliLife on the Bukit. There was singing, dancing, delicious food and lots of friendly, welcoming faces. Thank you to BaliLife for your support and hospitality!
PTA Super-Wednesday, April 24 Wednesday- Meeting, Bali Discovery Tour and Bake Sale and Second Hand Uniform Sale
Wow! What a busy and fun day we had! The sale was very successful- thank you to all the volunteers.
The PTA’s Discover Bali group visited Zero Waste Bali and Bottles for Earth in Kerobokan. Followed by a delicious lunch at Biku. Both shops aim to reduce waste in Bali by selling products without packaging as well as reusable water bottles and several other sustainable solutions.
PTA Annual General Meeting May 29- Positions Vacant
The AGM will be held on May 29 in the Library at 8am. All executive positions will be voted upon. The PTA is looking for a new secretary and treasurer- please consider these exciting opportunities to serve the school community and make a difference to the lives of the students. It’s also fun, and a great way to meet new people!
PTA By-laws ratification
To all interested parents and members of the school community- the PTA needs to vote on the ratification of the PTA by-laws in the May 29 meeting. Thank you for taking the time to read through them!
YEM & Garage Sale 24 May, 3-4pm
The PTA is combining the YEM and the Garage sale on the 24 May, 3-4 pm.
Calling all young entrepreneurs! The PTA will be once again hosting a YEM for the 24 May, so you have plenty of time to start coming up with some ideas! All items must be made by students. Craft, baked goods, snacks, drinks, art and craft and room decorations were all popular last time- You are all welcome to come up with new ideas! See you there!

We have many families leaving the BIS community at the end of the school year. We are sad to see them go, and wish you all the best for the next chapter of their lives! With moving comes the inevitable ‘cleaning out’ of our Bali homes, so the PTA thought it would be fun to have a Garage Sale! Tables are free, and you can keep all the profits of your own sales. If you have any donations, the charities reps would love to have the opportunity to distribute anything left over to our chosen charities.
