Campus Security and Child Protection

As we continually look to improve our campus security and further ensure that every one of our students is safe during the school day, we ask all adults (Parents, Pembantus, Drivers, etc.) to stay off campus or in the Courtyard area until 2:45 p.m. each day. Thank you for your cooperation. 

This does not affect parents coming to school for a meeting during school hours. 

This will also ensure that learning continues right up to 2:45 p.m. each day.

International Mindedness at Bali Island School

A small committee made up of parents, students and faculty members has drafted a new definition of International Mindedness for BIS. We would like to ask for feedback to help make it even better. Please send me an email so that I can bring your feedback to the committee. Once the definition has completed the draft phase, we will celebrate our new definition and share it officially with all community members.

The BIS Vision Statement – reads: To be the school of choice for internationally-minded families and a leader of IB World Schools in Indonesia.

Developing our understanding of being “internationally minded” is an integral part of being a BIS Community member and a chief reason for having our children attend the Bali Island School.

At BIS we believe that international mindedness is respecting diverse perspectives and building empathy by recognizing commonalities, learning languages, and caring for the environment as well as our local and global community. 

International School Theater Association (ISTA)

Ms. Alborn would like to remind you of an incredibly exciting Middle School Theatre Festival to be hosted at ‘Bali

Island School, March 6th-8th, 2020. The theme of the Festival is ‘Shadows and Light’. 

This promises to be a wonderful opportunity for our Middle School students and as the only ISTA member school in Bali, it is an honour and privilege to be able to host this event for our community and our students – the first of its kind!

Meet the Teachers

I would like to take a moment to praise our fine and talented BIS faculty.  After a good week of teaching, they presented their learning plans, class routines and agreements, and other important information to you on a Friday afternoon. Please join me in thanking them for a job well done and  for representing our school so well!
