A Note Regarding Zoom

Dear Parents,

As you may know, during our Distance Learning time our school has been using the Zoom communication platform that allows us to have face to face learning experiences with your children.  Lately, there has been a number of news articles about the safety of Zoom as a platform due to unwanted people accessing meetings and acting inappropriately.

Fortunately, Zoom does have a number of safety settings that allow us to feel confident that it is a safe platform for our community to use.  Two of these are the inclusion of a password for all meetings, and the waiting room feature that allows a teacher to verify a participant before allowing them into the meeting.

All teachers have been trained on these settings and have been utilizing them for all meetings.
