Message from the Head of School – February 5, 2021
Distance Learning continues through next week due to PPKM measures. I would like our community to know that I am looking for alternative sites for Teaching and Learning to occur in Term IV (for those families who are open to their child learning in face to face mode). Thank you for your continued support of BIS.
Please note, Thursday – February 11 is a half-day of school, students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Teachers will engage in Professional Development in the afternoon.

BIS Tuition Fees for SY21-22
I am pleased to inform you of our new tuition fees for next school year – Fee Schedule and Terms School Year 2021-2022. On average fees have been reduced a further 2% from last year. This move is aligned with the Board’s goal of providing a world-class education at competitive rates while remaining sensitive to the needs of our community during the pandemic. To be clear, some grade level fees have remained the same as last year, while other grade levels have decreased. These changes reflect our effort to have the BIS fee structure be more transparent (no IB fees charged in Grade 11&12 other than exam fees) and more competitive. Please note the historical trend of tuition fees over the past 7 years in terms of % increase or decrease or no change (SY16-17, 17-18, and 19-20).
Please also be aware of the changes we have made to our payment dates. Last year’s first tuition payment date was due on August 1. This left me concerned about student numbers right up until the first day of school. I have moved back the first installment due date to July 1. This provides me much more time to ensure all is ready for Day I. I thank you for taking note of this change and planning accordingly.
Education Outside the Classroom fees is not added to school fees. They are communicated in the Fee Schedule and we will charge those fees should we be able to have field trips run next school year.
