Message from the Head of School – August 26, 2022
Thank you all so much for offering your time, knowledge and expertise on the strategic plan committees. We have now filled all the available spaces and look forward to commencing our first meeting on Thursday 15th September. This project will be ongoing during this academic year and will be completed by April/May 2023, ready to begin in the following academic year 23-24.
Please do remember to wear your yellow lanyard and ID when on campus. It is important that our students can identify everyone and feel safe. Child Safeguarding will always be our number one priority. Please help us maintain our core values (one of which is “caring”) to a high standard.
I have met with the PTA and we have formulated an action packed series of events between now and December. We will continue to work on the semester 2 events and will share the calendar when it is completed. Meanwhile, if you were not in attendance at the recent first PTA meeting, then please be aware that we continue to welcome help and volunteers, even if it is only now and again.
We are working with another two potential food providers and hope to be able to share details soon. This will take the number of food providers to 4. The idea is that we can create a greater and more diverse range of healthy, but affordable food options.
In conjunction with our mission of nurturing students who are active, creactive and respectful learners, please ask your children about how they are involved in our extensive co-curricular activities programme (CCA), our Wednesday sporting clubs through Bali School Sports Association, our Service as Action programme in the MYP and our Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) programme in the DP to name but a few. I would hope that from their responses, that you will truly see how committed we are as a school to living out our mission by what we do on a daily basis.
Advance notice of important dates; Thursday 15th September, half day for faculty professional development/strategic planning, Friday 16th September, school closed.
