Message from the Head of School – September 15, 2022
Thank you to all willing parents and students who volunteered their time on Thursday 15th September this week to start our strategic planning process. The process got off to a very smooth start and we look forward to formulating the plan during the course of the academic year. Towards May/June, we will be in a position to present our final proposal.
Drop off: to avoid congestion in the mornings at the main gate, may I kindly ask that Primary parents and students use the South Gate, approximately 100 or so meters further down the alley. This will help us keep “people traffic” flowing freely and quickly at the main gate and avoid the possibility of accidents with motorbikes.
We will continue to provide opportunities for our parents to network, socialize and benefit from each other’s knowledge and experiences. Our first suggestion, which was with our Lifestyle coach, Ms. Kara Wutzke, has been very successful in terms of sign-ups. The first introductory session will take place on Wednesday 21st September from 0800-0900 in the Upper Floor of the Library. Those still wishing to sign up may do so via this form.
Today, I have been having discussions with a group that may be able to give parents advice about setting up companies of their own, tax advice etc. They have also offered to help give talks to our Business Management students, which is a fantastic learning opportunity for them. Our aim is to help our community with as many opportunities as possible to enjoy life here in Bali and to be part of a collegiate learning community. More details to follow soon.
Note that you will be shortly receiving your child’s/children’s first term report at the end of the month, followed by 3-way conferences on Friday October 07th. Please do ensure that you have a proper understanding of the content of the report in time for the conference to enable meaningful discussion to take place that will help drive the learning process. Recall that your child/children must be present at the conference. PYP will operate face-to-face conferences all day, while MYP and DP will
