Counseling
As we head into the break, take time to enjoy being with your family!

  • Set aside time each day for everyone to read books (not on devices).
  • Get out in nature.
  • Cut or eliminate device time either on certain days or times of the day.
  • Play together.
  • Bake or cook as a family.
  • Take up a new hobby you can do together, like painting or building puzzles.
  • Start a gratitude jar on the first day of break (Everyone puts one thing they are grateful for on a little piece of paper and drops it in the jar.) and take turns reading them aloud for the new year.
  • Connect with family and friends near and far.
  • Say farewell to families leaving Bali who are close to your family.
  • Rest, rest, and rest some more.

Inquiry in the Grade 4 Classroom
The process of inquiry in the PYP covers six stages of exploration: tuning in, finding out, sorting out, going further, making conclusions, and taking actions.

This cycle encourages students to revisit prior learning, review understandings, and build on knowledge and skills.  Inquiry provides an opportunity for students to share in designing their own learning experiences, taking responsibility, and having ownership of learning. In Grade 4, students engaged in independent inquiries based on questions they asked during our history unit Where we are in Place and Time.

They focussed on being reflective: self and peer and developing skills in research and communication.  Grade 4 presented their inquiries with confidence and enthusiasm to their peers.

Great job, Grade 4. You are Rockstars!

Breaking News! Read all about it! Movathon has amazing results!

Sienna and I (Mrs. Erickson)would like to thank all of you who participated in our Movathon fundraiser for your wonderful generosity!

YOU helped us raise over IDR 10,000,000! Isn’t that amazing? This money will go directly to providing for the needs of many families who live at the base of Mt. Agung. These families have been impacted directly or indirectly by Covid-19, and so your funds will help with buying foodstuffs, household supplies, and other needs they may have.

Also, congratulations to everyone who won the raffle, we hope you enjoy your spa voucher.

Thank you again, and please enjoy this short video that Sienna Sutherland put together commemorating the moving YOU did this past weekend!
