Covid Protocol Update
The Health Committee has approved the following adaptations to our Covid Protocols based on the latest information available from the CDC and WHO:

Positive Case – Symptomatic/Asymptomatic – remain off campus for 10 days and return on Day 11 if sign, symptom and medication free for 24 hours.

Early Return to Campus for both Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Cases.  If the positive case feels better (no signs and symptoms) and wants to return to campus earlier than Day 11 – the patient can opt for Early Return – by providing two negative PCR tests 24 hours apart on any Day after Day 5 (Day 5 and 6/ Day 6/7, etc).

Household Case – If a household is experiencing multiple cases, the initial positive case can return to campus if sign, symptom, and medication free on Day 11 or follow the Early Return protocol above. Although a potential primary contact to remaining household cases, the initial positive case and consequent return to health will yield low risk/transmissibility within our community.

Please find the updates above in the BIS Covid Protocols located on our website.

PYP Exhibition Kick off
Our Grade 5 students are embarking on their Exhibition journey, the culminating project of the Primary Years Programme. They will inquire deeply into a personal passion and share their learning with us in Term IV. Let personal learning, curiosity and passion flourish!

BaliMUN
Thirty-five secondary students (and one primary student!) are in the thick of things today, in our annual BaliMUN, sorting out conflict, fighting for equitable solutions, and sustainable action. This two-day event involving (100+) students from other schools (list below) is being hosted by BIS students with Mr. Marshall’s support and guidance. They have been preparing since Term II. Thanks to everyone involved and for working towards a more just world that empowers all people, regardless of race, gender, sexuality and ability.

From the SOS Food Drive Team
Hello Everyone. We are serving as an action group working with SOS (scholars of sustenance). Our goal is to provide food to people who are less fortunate.  Starting from the 14th of February (Monday), we will be collecting food donations. Instead of assigning grades for different types of foods like we did in the past food drives, we will have everyone, who is willing to donate, to bring specific ingredients we will be needing. Specific ingredients include rice, cooking oil, and salt/sugar/pepper. There will be a box in the room near the nurse’s office where you can place the food donations.
