The BIS Holiday Market is coming up on Tuesday the 6th of December from 3 – 5:30pm!
This event brings parents, staff and students together to enjoy games, share food and purchase gifts for the upcoming holidays. We are looking for any parents or students who would like to purchase table space to sell products at this exciting community event. Products must be new or can be made from repurposed items, and can be from an established business or handmade especially for the Market. 100% of the profits from sales at the event may be kept by the stallholders. Selling items to fundraise for CAS and other not-for-profit organizations is also welcome.
All of the proceeds from the sale of table space will go towards the PTA and the charities that we support.
Pricing for Holiday Market stall holder table space is as follows:

Parent vendors:

1 x 200cm x 60cm table – 300k
2 x 200cm x 60cm tables – 500k

Student vendors:

1x 200cm x 60cm table – 100k
2 x 200cm x 60cm tables – 150k

2m2 of surrounding space is included with each table and displays and decorations can be set up within your space to promote your products. This Holiday Market is separate from the STUCO Young Entrepreneurs Market which will take place later in Semester 2.

If you are interested in securing a place at the Holiday Market please register via the link below or contact Lucy, the PTA chairperson for more information. Please note that there is a limit of 30 tables including external businesses so be sure to register and pay ASAP to avoid missing out.

We plan to schedule an optional influenza vaccine clinic here at BIS on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, by BIC CLINIC. It takes up to 2 weeks to be protected from influenza after receiving the vaccine so we want to give everyone a chance to get the vaccine now and be protected before the holiday break begins. It will be available to anyone in our community: staff, teachers, parents, and students. Please click here to sign up ASAP as the clinic needs to order enough vaccines by Saturday, November 26th, 2022.

Time: 2:00 – 4:00pm, next Wednesday, November 30th
Location: BIS Covered Courts
Cost : 425.000 IDR

Requirements: Signed consent form (available in the front office). A parent or guardian must be present for any primary students to receive the vaccine. Secondary students can receive the vaccine with a consent form only. Please bring cash payment to school that day.

The vaccine being given is the Vaxigrip Tetra, made by Sanofi pharmaceuticals (France). It is a quadrivalent vaccine that contains 4 types of influenza Viruses: Influenza type A (H3N2&H1N1) and Influenza Type B (Victoria and Yamagata). This is not a live vaccine and therefore it is not possible to get the flu from the flu vaccine. More information about vaccines and influenza is attached below.

The Semester 1 Teacher & Staff Appreciation Day is coming up on Friday 2nd December!

This is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to show our gratitude to the teachers and school staff that make BIS so special! To show how much we value all of our wonderful staff members, the PTA will be hosting a buffet lunch for staff in the MPR. To make this possible we need your help! If you are able to contribute a dish to the staff lunch this would be greatly appreciated.
