Primary – Grade 3’s Top 10 Tips for A Better World.

This term in Grade 3, our new unit is about Sharing the Planet. The Central Idea is: To meet our needs and wants, people make choices that impact animals. We decided one way of taking action is to suggest some simple tips we can all try to follow to make even a little difference to the world.

1.  Say no to plastic straws when dining in a restaurant.
2.  Eat less meat.
3.  Donate things you don’t use anymore to others who could use them.
4.  Use a reusable bag when shopping.
5.  Use less water – quick showers and tap off when brushing teeth.
6.  Stop burning rubbish – spread the word.
7.  Make a compost bin.
8.  Make a t-shirt into a shopping bag.
9.  Turn off lights and air conditioners when you don’t need them.
10.  If you need to order a drink from catering, send a reusable cup with a lid!
