The new BIS Library Resources page

The BIS Library has created the BIS Library Resources page, a digital portal of online links and websites designed to support teachers’ units and students learning as well as provide quality research tools and literature resources.  While the page is not complete, it is updated and used daily and within a few months will become a fully-sourced hub for all students, grade levels and subjects. Some of the resources currently house are grade 6 and 7 English and Science supporting digital resources, grade 8 and 9 MYP project/assessment supporting digital resources, Model United Nations research support, the BIS Library Research document (which spells out a succinct, step by step research process as well as citation tools), and the Databases and Search Engines page as well as various administrative documents. The Database and Search Engines page links to over 20 high quality academic focused search-engines and databases that students can use as an alternative to Wikipedia and Google to effectively and efficiently search the Web. Here we also feature JSTOR, a well known academic wide-ranging database that BIS subscribes to and that all students have access to.

To use the website, navigate using the sidebar on the left hand side to access all the links.

The BIS Library encourages all BIS community members to use the resources on this page and continue to check in as updates continue, including subscription-based academic databases that we will purchase in the near future.
