Welcome Letter to all Parents from the PTA
Selamat Datang to all new parents and welcome back to all returning parents. ☺
We sincerely hope that during your summer you had time to catch up with friends and family and that you enjoyed a lot of quality time together.
It’s been a long time since we last communicated with you and during that time we’ve had a name change. We no longer are the PTFA but the PTA!
Allow us to introduce the new PTA Executive Committee to you for this academic year 2018-2019:

We have a lot planned for this year and with your help we will be able to accomplish many fun activities for our children e.g. Mindfulness events, International Day, Halloween Party, Holi Festival Celebration & Bake Sales just to name a few.
We are also looking at introducing the following on selected Mondays at 8.00 am: “Explore Bali”
Together we get to know Bali and get to know each other better at the same time. We choose a location of interest we go to and then discover the beauty of the Island collectively. Everyone is welcome to join and we will inform you more about this project closer to the date of commencement.
You can support us in many ways. One way for example is to come to our PTA meetings. We meet once a month on a Wednesday at 7.50 am in the MPR. There you have the opportunity to receive information & updates about everything important and related to the PTA and BIS. For your diary we have listed the meeting dates for this coming academic year below:

To give you an overview of activities & events coming up in Term 1 we have compiled the following for you:
To start off the events of this year, we will be having the Meet the teachers Potluck Dinner on 24th August where we meet the teachers, enjoy each other’s company and a buffet of various culinary delights brought along for this dinner by us parents.
On 10th September we are offering an “Arabic BBQ” to commemorate Islamic New Year.
A highlight of our annual calendar is as always – International Day. This year we are celebrating it on Friday 21st September 2018. Further details will be sent out very soon.
To end this first Term we are having a BBQ on the last day of the Spirit week 5th October 2018.
