Happy Indonesian Independence Day!

To our Indonesian friends – Thank you for sharing your beautiful country, culture and warmth with us Expats. We feel very fortunate to be living and learning alongside you everyday. Thank you to our Indonesian Moms who provided us all with a delicious treat today as well. I feel so fortunate to work alongside our Indonesian Faculty and Staff here at BIS. They are truly talented, so patient and kind – Teri Ma Kasi!

Our Mount Agung Relief team grabbed hold of the reins of the Lombok Drive this week. They are now coordinating all aspects of the donations and will oversee the boxing of the goods and transportation to the relief centers. Thank you students! The donations will go out early next week.

The Board and I will be hard at work tomorrow developing our working plan for the school year and setting goals. More on this to follow.

Thank you to the PTA for a great start to the school year and for all of your support. BIS and the PTA will co-host the PTA Potluck and Meet the Teachers event next Friday evening following our Open Houses of both Primary and Secondary. Thank you to our Student Council for volunteering to babysit any young children that evening, so we parents and teachers can get to know each other.

If you wish to take advantage of the babysitting on Friday afternoon, please be aware of the following:

3:00-5:00 outdoor games

5:00-7:00 movie in the MPR

Please ensure your child has a hat, water bottle, and a snack
