PTA Annual General Meeting May 29- Positions Vacant

The AGM will be held on May 29 in the Library at 8am. All executive positions will be voted upon. Please consider these exciting opportunities to serve the school community and make a difference to the lives of the students.

Here are the job descriptions of the vacant PTA committee positions for your consideration:

Chairperson

  1. Preside at all PTA meetings
  2. Act as a representative of the PTA
  3. Plan the annual PTA calendar of events in collaboration with the Head of school
  4. Ensure effective communication exists among all members and between the PTA and the school.
  5. Encourage other parents and teachers to participate in PTA activities.
  6. Attend regular meetings with the school Leadership Team.

Secretary

  1. Conduct the correspondence of the PTA
  2. Keep full and correct minutes of meeting proceedings, and distribute copies of the same to all members at every PTA meeting.
  3. Maintain an original set of PTA records/correspondence in the BIS administration office.
  4. Prepare an agenda for every PTA meeting, & send it out along with the previous meeting minutes to the office manager to be circulated to all members.
  5. Prepare updates on PTA activities for inclusion in the school news letter. 
  6. Maintain an electronic folder and update it on the PTA google drive.
  7. Encourage other parents, teachers to participate in PTA activities.

Treasurer

  1. Keep accurate accounts of receipts and expenditures and prepare a financial statement for each PTA meeting.
  2. Pay all accounts promptly when authorised by a meeting. 
  3. Prepare monthly & annual statements. Ensure all PTA financial records are complete and stored at the PTA safe located in the main school office.
  4. Encourage other parents, teachers to participate in PTA activities.

PTA By-laws Ratification

To all interested parents and members of the school community- the PTA needs to vote on the ratification of the PTA by-laws in the May 29 meeting. Thank you for taking the time to read through them!

PTA BBQs on 22 and 31 May- Volunteers Needed!

The BIS Athletics Day and BSS Athletics carnivals are coming up, and once again the PTA will be hosting their famous BBQ!

We are looking for help setting up, running the BBQ and cleaning up afterwards. If you have even an hour to spare please kindly come and help us. Thank you very much in advance for your support.

The PTA is Catering for the BIS Athletics Carnival:

When: Wednesday 22nd May 2019

Where: Near the covered Court by the big field

Time: 8.00 am – 3.00 pm

Garage Sale and Young Entrepreneur’s Market 24 May, 3-4pm

We have many families leaving the BIS community at the end of the school year. We are sad to see them go, and wish you all the best for the next chapter of their lives! With moving comes the inevitable ‘cleaning out’ of our Bali homes, so the PTA thought it would be fun to have a Garage Sale! Tables are free, and you can keep all the profits of your own sales. If you have any donations, the charities reps would love to have the opportunity to distribute anything left over to our chosen charities.

Calling all young entrepreneurs! The PTA will be once again hosting a YEM for the 24 May, so you have plenty of time to start coming up with some ideas! All items must be made by students. Craft, baked goods, snacks, drinks, art and craft and room decorations were all popular last time- You are all welcome to come up with new ideas! See you there!

Panggilan kepada seluruh pengusaha muda! PTA akan menyelenggarakan lagi YEM pada tanggal 7 Juni sehingga anda mempunyai cukup waktu untuk mendapatkan ide baru!  Semua barang HARUS dibuat oleh murid. Kerajinan tangan, kue-kue panggang, makanan ringan, minuman, lukisan dan dekorasi ruangan adalah sangat digemari pada acara yang lalu.

Silakan datang dengan ide -ide naru dan sampai bertemu lagi!
