PTA Annual General Meeting May 29- Positions Vacant

The AGM will be held on May 29 in the Library at 8am. All executive positions will be voted upon. Please consider these exciting opportunities to serve the school community and make a difference to the lives of the students.

Here are the job descriptions of the vacant PTA committee positions for your consideration:

Chairperson

1. Preside at all PTA meetings
2. Act as a representative of the PTA
3. Plan the annual PTA calendar of events in collaboration with the Head of school
4. Ensure effective communication exists among all members and between the PTA
   and the school.
5. Encourage other parents and teachers to participate in PTA activities.
6. Attend regular meetings with the school Leadership Team.

Secretary

1. Conduct the correspondence of the PTA
2. Keep full and correct minutes of meeting proceedings, and distribute copies of
   the same to all members at every PTA meeting.
3. Maintain an original set of PTA records/correspondence in the BIS administration
   office.
4. Prepare an agenda for every PTA meeting, & send it out along with the previous
   meeting minutes to the office manager to be circulated to all members.
5. Prepare updates on PTA activities for inclusion in the school news letter.
6. Maintain an electronic folder and update it on the PTA google drive.
7. Encourage other parents, teachers to participate in PTA activities.

Treasurer

1. Keep accurate accounts of receipts and expenditures and prepare a financial
   statement for each PTA meeting.
2. Pay all accounts promptly when authorised by a meeting.
3. Prepare monthly & annual statements.
4. Ensure all PTA financial records are complete and stored at the PTA safe located
   in the main school office.
5. Encourage other parents, teachers to participate in PTA activities.

PTA By-laws Ratification

To all interested parents and members of the school community- the PTA needs to vote on the ratification of the PTA by-laws in the May 29 meeting. Thank you for taking the time to read through them!

PTA BBQs 31 May- Volunteers Needed!

The PTA is catering for the BSSA Athletics Carnival:

When: Friday 31st May 2019
Where: Near the covered Court by the big field
Time: 8.00 am – 3.00 pm

We would really appreciate your help even for an hour if your schedule permits. Kindly sign up to spend some time helping out at our BBQ.
