Key Events in the Primary School for Term 4 and 2019 – 2020 Term 1 are listed below

Happy Holidays from the PTA!

The PTA wish all students, staff, parents and the school community a safe and relaxing summer holiday. Best wishes to all of the leaving families; we thank you for all for contributions and hope you all have some wonderful memories of your time at BIS and in Bali. A heart-felt thanks to everyone who have supported the PTA throughout the year. We hope to see you all in August to welcome new staff and families into the community.

International Day is on October 18 2019!

Why are we telling you this now? Well firstly we all love International Day; it’s one of the highlights on the school calendar when can celebrate all the things we love about our home countries, and show our friends of other cultures parts of our different backgrounds. In the past, we have seen special food and drink, fun games and displays from many different countries and regions of the world.

If you are heading back to your home country during the summer break, please collect some fun stuff that you can use to showcase your country! Dress ups, food and drink, games, posters, candy are just some of our suggestions!

Thank you and have a wonderful break- wherever you go in the world!

CROCKERY, CUTLERY and MUG DRIVE

The PTA is gratefully accepting donations for MUGS, CROCKERY, and CUTLERY for use in the school community. The mugs are to be stored at the Fun Bites in the Courtyard to cut down on single use cups and the crockery and cutlery is for the teachers’ staff room.

If you are doing a clear out of your cupboards at home, please bring all items in to Indira in the Main administration building before 11 June, so they are all ready for use in the next school year!

Thank you for helping the school and the planet!

Have Fun with Reading and Math over the Holidays

The ‘summer slide’ is a well-known fact of life for all of our students. To help maintain their current levels in reading and math, we recommend that your child practices reading and math skills as often as possible… in FUN ways. Click here for Reading & Writing ideas. Click here for Math ideas.

First Day Back at School

All students will return to school on Monday 5 August. Kindergarten to Grade 5 students have visited their new classrooms during this week’s Step Up Day. An updated version of our school map for 2019 – 2020 is included below.

Timetable Update

After receiving some welcomed and constructive feedback from parents and teachers, it has been decided that Primary students will have morning recess at 9:45 am next year, not 10:30 am as originally planned.

Primary Supply List

A Primary Supply List was shared with all students who attended the Step Up Day on Tuesday. Click here to access the list. As so many students want to get new stationery and supplies for the new school year, we have published this list. While we would like all students to bring the items on this list, and not doing so will still have access to all of the stationery and other materials they need which will be supplied by the school.
