Dear BIS Community,

The Board of Directors will be holding our governance presentation on Monday, the 25th of November starting at 8:00 AM in the library.

We encourage those of you who would like to learn about the governance structure of our foundation and school to join us. In this presentation, we will provide a brief, yet thorough overview of the structure of Yayasan Bali International School as well as the guidelines under which we operate.

For those of you who attended last year, you are most welcome to join for a refresher. We look forward to your attendance!

Accreditation Update

The Ministry of Education announced today that Bali Island School will have an accreditation visit on November 28-30. The Ministry will assess our Primary and Middle Years Divisions. Ibu Yunita, our SPK Principal, has been heading up our accreditation efforts since her appointment in August. Ibu Aulia, Ibu Lea and our Indonesian teachers and staff members have also been assisting. Thank you to everyone who has played a key role in ensuring BIS meets the ministry’s standards and is well positioned for the future. I would like to thank the Board of Directors as well for their valuable support. 

This afternoon, the faculty worked on Domain C. We will complete Domain C work on January 24 and then turn our attention to the other domains. Thank you for your support of our accreditation efforts. We are learning a great deal about the strengths of our programs and areas to turn our attention towards for further school improvement.
