Pool Incident
On Thursday afternoon, a 5th grade student lost consciousness in the pool. Pak Sam, Ibu Surya, Pak Nyoman and Pak Hamish were instrumental in providing first aid to the boy. He is fine now and recovering at home. Ibu Rachael met with the Grade 5 class to help students work through their feelings both yesterday and then again this morning. Our child protection team met to debrief the incident and our medical team met as well.
I am truly thankful for our community’s strength. Yesterday we witnessed high quality care, courage, fast implementation of proper training and preparation, a willingness to assist in every imaginable manner from students, faculty and parents. A remarkable display of “community”.
I am extremely proud of the BIS Community and count myself blessed to be a member.

Lunar New Year Celebration
Please join us next Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the covered court to help us celebrate the Lunar New Year. Students will be dismissed directly after the celebration (12:00 noon Dismissal)
