Breaking News! Read all about it! Movathon has amazing results!
Sienna and I (Mrs. Erickson)would like to thank all of you who participated in our Movathon fundraiser for your wonderful generosity!
YOU helped us raise over IDR 10,000,000! Isn’t that amazing? This money will go directly to providing for the needs of many families who live at the base of Mt. Agung. These families have been impacted directly or indirectly by Covid-19, and so your funds will help with buying foodstuffs, household supplies, and other needs they may have.
Also, congratulations to everyone who won the raffle, we hope you enjoy your spa voucher.
Thank you again, and please enjoy this short video that Sienna Sutherland put together commemorating the moving YOU did this past weekend!
Counseling
As we head into the break, take time to enjoy being with your family!
- Set aside time each day for everyone to read books (not on devices).
- Get out in nature.
- Cut or eliminate device time either on certain days or times of the day.
- Play together.
- Bake or cook as a family.
- Take up a new hobby you can do together, like painting or building puzzles.
- Start a gratitude jar on the first day of break (Everyone puts one thing they are grateful for on a little piece of paper and drops it in the jar.) and take turns reading them aloud for the new year.
- Connect with family and friends near and far.
- Say farewell to families leaving Bali who are close to your family.
- Rest, rest, and rest some more.

MYP Permaculture Garden
The following reflection is from G10 student, Manon Pecquery. She initiated this project and has been running it since Term 1.
Reflection – December 11, 2020
On Thursday, we started to work in the garden for the first time! After a lot of online meetings, I really think it was good timing for us to actually go there and scope out the place. The first thing we did when we came there was observe the garden and see how our plans would work in the actual space. There were a few things that we did not take into account when we were planning the garden, and by being actually there, we were able to change our plans. We mainly started to clear out the garden beds and began tidying up the banana trees because there were a few fallen down with the harsh winds from last week. We also started a compost pile.
University Counseling
Registrations and deadlines:
Upcoming International SAT Test Date & Deadline
Many universities in the US are moving away from SATs, and not only due to COVID. If G12 students explore US universities and see that testing is optional, this means the university no longer weighs testing as necessary. If students take the SAT and score at the top, it could be helpful as a further indicator of achievement. Universities recognize that grades, especially DP grades, better reflect university success than a one-off test.
Virtual events
Schools are offering virtual visits to their campuses. As they contact us, we share it with you. If your family is interested in specific schools, you can also look at the websites via Bridge U.
