Message from the Head of School – October 22, 2021

BIS continues to wait patiently for the visitation and check of our health and safety protocols from the Dinas. Ibu Yunita, our SPK Principal, is doing everything she can to secure a date. Until we gain approval we will continue with our current schedule:

MYP Assessment
Ms. MacDonald, our MYP Coordinator, presented the ins and outs of our MYP Assessment system yesterday at lunch. 20 parents attended – Thank you! Thank you to Ibu Mary for your good efforts to further our community’s understanding of the MYP Assessment theory and practical applications.

EE Celebration
Our Senior full IB DP students will present their Extended Essays to parents and teachers as well as Grade 11 students this Thursday afternoon. Each full DP candidate will have written 4000 words on a topic of their choosing. The essay must be academic in nature and researched with full citations present. The culmination of this major challenge is worthy of a celebration – congratulations to these students!

Blood Drive and Flu Shots
Thank you to the PTA and Ibu Surya for organizing next week’s blood drive and flu shots scheduled for Nov 5. Halloween cookie-making kits will also be available to purchase thanks to our PTA representatives: Jinae, Novi and Steven.
