G12 ESS Composting Trip
Last Thursday, the G12 ESS students went to the Urban Composting site of Urban Biologist Bali (www.urbanbiologistbali.com). We learned about the process of composting, which steps are needed to form nutrient-rich compost from kitchen and garden waste. This is one of the topics that the students learned about this year in Unit 5 and helped to cement their learning through hands-on experience.

 In the morning we arrived at the site where Pak Buya and his team welcomed us. Immediately the students formed groups, teamed up with one of the workers, and set to work on one of the sections of the composting cycle. The result can see in the pictures I have attached. 

Hopefully, this can be a yearly recurring excursion for our ESS DP students. Many thanks to Pak Buya and his team for welcoming us and teaching us about composting.

SEAMO 2021 & SEAMO X 2022 

Congratulations to Simin Kim for achieving a SILVER medal in SEAMO 2021 (Regional Round) and a BRONZE medal in SEAMO X 2022 (Final Global Round).

The Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) is a unique assessment platform that has helped more than 50,000 students across 15 countries achieve Global Recognition in the field of mathematics since 2016. 

Students must be able to make connections and think outside the box in order to be successful in school and in the workplace. With this vision in mind, SEAMO has grown to become the most highly acclaimed Maths Olympiad competition in the region.
