Counselor Corner – April 29, 2022
A new student-led program at BIS called the ICC (Inclusive Community Committee) provides students the opportunity to work towards an inclusive school environment where every student feels happy and safe.
Currently, we have two active ICC groups: the Gender-identity group which has the aim of raising awareness and building knowledge within the teacher and secondary student body about gender identity. The second group is our ABC (Anti Bullying Committee) which is active in creating awareness within both the primary and secondary schools about bullying and how it affects our community. Their BIS Anti-Bullying Day on April 25th was a huge success. We can still see the kind words that were written on the pavements. The messages are strong and meaningful in creating a safe and kind school environment. Please enjoy these photos from the Anti-Bullying Day and gender awareness presentations.
