The Use of Masks at BIS – May 20, 2022

President Jokowi in a Press Statement on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 evening, announced the decision to relax the policy on wearing masks for people who are doing outdoor activities or in open areas. However, Jokowi continues to emphasize that masks still apply to people who carry out activities in closed spaces, in public transportation, and the elderly or to people who have comorbidity, likewise as people who experience cough symptoms and cold.

At the moment, BIS allows students to not wear a mask for those who participate in physical activities outside such as PE, playtime during recess, or lunchtime.

The Education Dinas and the Head of Sanur Kaja Village Office are still waiting for an official Circular Letter regarding the implementation to be off masks for any outside activities.  We will follow the regulation as it applies to students on campus once it is announced officially by the Education Dinas.
