Message From the Head of School – April 3, 2020

Looking forward to School Year 2020-2021

In light of the situation we are all facing, we have made a few adjustments to our admissions process and payments for the coming school year:

• We have lowered our registration fee for SY20-21 from 15 million to 7.5 million. This fee remains non-refundable and will continue to be deducted from future tuition payments.
• We are extending our early payment discount deadline from 15 April to May 1, 2020. As a reminder, you are eligible for an 8% tuition discount if you pay multiple years in advance or a 5% discount if you pay all school fees by May 1.
• Re-enrollment forms remain due on the 1st of May

Your timely response to the registration will allow us the information we need to plan for the next school year. We understand that the future of many of our industries is uncertain so we are grateful for the forethought and support you can provide by helping us in this key planning phase. Unfortunately, we can’t move the registration date back any further as the information is necessary for preparing for next school year.

IB Diploma Exams

Due to Covid-19, IB Exams have been canceled for Grade 12 students around the world. Ross Ferris and Matt Wood have been in communication with our Grade 12 students and parents over the past few weeks. The IB will use our internal and external assessments as well as our predicted grades to provide the data required to award diplomas. Ms. Gerbic, our College Counselor, is reaching out to the universities our students have been admitted to and to those who have granted conditional acceptances. We will continue to support each of our Seniors as they navigate their next steps. Please see below an impressive list of university acceptances gained thus far – Congratulations Grade 12! Graduation plans are progressing with some creative and logistical challenges, but BIS will celebrate the Graduating Class of 2020! (details to follow)
