Central Penn College, Pennsylvania Central Penn College is a private college located in Summerdale, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Harrisburg in the United States. Established in 1881, Central Penn College was originally known as Central Pennsylvania Business School. It is a career-focused school with accelerated programs in a variety of fields. Fun fact: There are no cramped dorm rooms at Central Penn. You live in an apartment or a super suite, and experience the benefits and responsibilities of adult life – all while having fun and making friends!

Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey It has two campuses in NJ, one picture-perfect self-contained traditional campus with ivy on the buildings and the other one metropolitan, fast-paced and modern. This school also has campuses in Vancouver, Canada, and Wroxton, England. They offer strong support for students with Learning Needs. They offer traditional liberal arts and sciences — biology to philosophy — but also engineering, nursing, criminal justice, psychology, computer science, electronic filmmaking and digital design, communication studies, fine arts, and creative writing, hotel and restaurant management, among many others. Fun Fact: FDU student and history major Nicole Salomone presented a paper on the links between vampires and premature burial at an academic conference at University of Oxford over winter break.

Kansas State University It is a public research university with a strong program in Architecture. Interesting fact is that they have started an “Innovation and Inspiration” campaign to raise 1 billion dollars. The money will be used to make K-State, now top 75, one of the top 50 public institutions by 2025. It also awards more than 26 million USD in scholarships. It got on the list “Great Value Colleges with a Beautiful Campus”.

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania This is an American public university located in rural Kutztown, Pennsylvania and is one of fourteen schools that comprise the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. It has four colleges – Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Visual and Performing Arts. Its campus has received the GreenStar award for being one of the most beautifully-maintained college campuses in the nation.

Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia More than 12,000 students from nearly 50 states and more than 100 countries go to SCAD. Approximately 23 percent of the student body is international. It is a highly regarded art and design school in the US. Their major classes are capped at 20 and minor classes at 30 students. It has many community service opportunities.

University of Colorado Boulder This school is overall very strong, with excellent programs in the sciences. It offers a great combination of lots of sun days, but also snow, with stunning scenery as a backdrop. The university has been commended for its efforts to become sustainable and protect the environment. It offers more than 3600 courses a year in about 150 areas of study. It is one of the top universities to receive funding from NASA, and 18 of its alumni have worked as astronauts. However, it also has a strong engineering and music schools.

University of Portland, Oregon The University of Portland is a private Roman Catholic university, of about 5000 students, located in Portland, Oregon with a strong community and service opportunities. For the twenty-first consecutive year, the University earned a Top-10 ranking by U.S. News & World Report in its annual list of best colleges. For the fifth consecutive year, University of Portland was the top Oregon school in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance annual ranking of best values in private colleges and universities. It has liberal arts, education, nursing, business and engineering.
