PTA eNews Updates – February 1, 2019
Visit to Kupu-Kupu
The PTA is visiting the Kupu Kupu Foundation in Ubud to hand over the PTA Charity commitment for 2018. We will leave at 8am from the Courtyard on Thursday 7 February, and will be back before 2 pm. It is a wonderful opportunity to see the valuable work done by the foundation and meet the director, the teachers and the children.
Chinese New Year BBQ February 1
A big thank you to all the enthusiastic volunteers who helped at the BBQ! Thank you also to the BBQ committee for sourcing some new and interesting treats. The BIS community enjoyed dumplings, jelly tea and even fortune cookies! Happy year of the pig, 2019!
Swim Bags Available for Purchase
Thanks to all who have purchased the 5 and 10 litre BIS swim bags. They have come in very handy with the rainy weather we have had lately, as well as for their intended purpose! There is an extra stock of swim bags available for purchase in the main administration office- please ask Indira.
Next PTA Wednesday 13 February
The next PTA meeting will be held in the Library from 8-9 am on Wednesday 13 February. The PTA invite all parents and members of the school community to come along! Ideas for ” fund- raising and fun-raising” events to enhance the school life of our students are much appreciated. Any ideas for additions to the BIS New Parents’Directory are also welcome- the PTA are putting the final touches to the Directory in the next few weeks.
The Grade 6 bake sale and the 2nd hand uniform sale will also be at 2.45pm in front of Grade 1 bale.
