Social Emotional Counseling:

As you are aware, BIS students are learning mindfulness skills at every grade level and are developing a set of tools to help themselves stay more focused, and attuned and present to their moment-to-moment experiences. Students are learning how to notice and identify their emotions and to self regulate, or come back to a balanced emotional state when they are triggered by strong emotions.

Check out this article by Harvard psychologist and researcher, Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair for tips on creating more presence for your child by being more present with your child.
