Message from the Head of School – October 29, 2021
Term II Schedule
I am pleased to announce that BIS will move to the following schedule beginning this Monday, November 1, 2021.
I would like to thank our entire community for your commitment to maintaining our shared health. I received numerous texts with PCR results attached from families who traveled outside of Bali over the past October holiday. Families remained off campus until the 6th day and then tested. Thank you!
It is a testament to our community’s commitment to maintaining a safe campus that while we have had to ask some classes to learn from home for individual cases, no transmission has yet been detected here at Bali Island School. Our health protocols remain firmly in place.
Please note the day your child’s class is listed below, is the day he/she/they LEARN from HOME.
Attendance and Secondary Assessment at BIS
If your child is sick, please email the Homeroom teachers, Ibu Riana and myself by 7:30 a.m. If there is a scheduled assessment, BIS will have your child take it once he/she/they feels better. If the absence is extended due to health issues, we will find a solution on a case by case basis.
Safety Drills
We completed an earthquake and safety drill over the past two days. We also re-tested our Emergency Broadcast System using our Whatsapp notification system. If you did not receive a message today at 11:50 a.m. Please do inform Ibu Deni or Ibu Riana of your new phone number.
BIS practiced an earthquake and evacuation drill over the past two days. Both drills were completed efficiently and following our protocols. Please be sure to read this week’s eNews for an important update. Thank you for your attention.
