Message from the Head of School – January 28, 2021

School Fees and Calendar for School Year 22-23
Two important documents have become available to our community this week. Please see the Approved School Fees and Calendar for SY22-23 on the website. I’d like to thank the faculty members who volunteered for the Calendar Committee to help create next year’s calendar. The school fees demonstrate the Board’s commitment to the BIS Vision statement – to be the school of choice for internationally-minded families and a leader of IB World Schools in Indonesia – 0% increase.

BIS has some very important decisions to make over the next few weeks regarding next year’s K/1 classroom, Grade 3, Grade 6, and Grade 10 classes. We are currently predicting that each of those classes will be over 24 students – the maximum class size at BIS. Over the next few weeks, Ibu Lilik and I will be reaching out to parents to determine your plans for next year with regards to your child’s education. If after those conversations, we are still predicting 25+ in any class, then Mike Miller – incoming HoS – and I will go hire more faculty!

These are exciting times for BIS. Thanks for sharing with your circle of friends about the quality of education our faculty produces each and every day. #BetterTogether
