It has been just a week and there have already been 2 successful events held in school; The first PTA Bake sale and the BIS Indonesian Independence Day celebration.

The first PTA Bake sale was organised by grade 1 parents and we raised around IDR 1.8 million.  A very big thanks to the enthusiasm of Gr 1 parents as they put it all together at such a short notice and it was a roaring success. We very much look forward to our next Bake sale on September 12, which will be organised  by the Gr2.

The Indonesian Independence Day was successfully celebrated today and the BIS Indonesian department worked very closely together with the host country parents to offer our children a truly fun filled  and great morning of enjoyment as well as providing a sumptuous buffet displaying what delicious food Indonesia has to offer.

Terima kasih banyak to all involved and especially to the host country parents who worked so hard late into the night & early in the morning to prepare and spoil our children with home cooked local delicacies.

This year, the school and PTA are organising a joint event “Meet the Teachers Potluck Dinner” in school on Friday, August 24, 2018. All parents are invited to come along, meet the teachers, showcase their culinary talent, socialise with each other, meet new parents and help strengthen our BIS Community spirit. You have the choice of what to bring to the Potluck dinner – it can be a starter, a salad, a main course, a desert  – it can be home made or bought – it’s entirely up to you.

And for the first time this year – the senior students will provide baby sitting for children so that more parents can attend and enjoy this event. We will be providing more information very soon.
