PTA Holi Festival – Friday, 22 March 2019
What an amazing way to finish the last week. Our families from India and PTA were kind with providing samosas, refreshing drinks, slipping and sliding and clouds of colour to share their Holi celebrations with all of us after school on Friday. Tasty!
PTA BBQ – Swim Carnival 26 March
‘The PTA BBQ for the BIS swim carnival was a great success! The new homemade icy poles made with real fruit were a popular addition to the menu by the BBQ committee – thank you for the valuable feedback from past BBQs which led to the creation of these delicious cool snacks for a hot Bali March day!
Vegetarian burgers were also available for the first time and were a welcome addition to the already popular hot dogs, burgers, baos, Vietnamese spring rolls and super popular and much anticipated gimbabs! Freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade lemonade were also popular and very refreshing.
Once again the BBQ could only be a success due to the tireless and enthusiastic BBQ committee and the volunteers on the day. Thank you BIS parents for all your help and all the lovely conversations in between the rush times!’
BEE Talk : Friday, 29 March 2019
It was a lovely talk by Manon on Bees and honey both from Belgium and Indonesia. Parents got to taste honey from China, Sulawesi and West Bali.
BIS Community Rafting Fun Day Out – Saturday, 13 April 2019
PTA is organising a whole BIS Community Rafting Fun Day Out.

Where: Ayung River in Ubud near Peyengan
Age: 5 years old – 65 years old
Cost: Depending on how many sign up. Average between 400-600K
Price categories: 5-12 years old Price & 13+ Price
Duration: 3-4 hours
Lunch: Included in the price
Dress Code: Swim Wear and Sports Shoes/Water Shoes
Facilities: Changing rooms & Lockers available

YEM Young Entrepreneur’s Market 7 June
Calling all young entrepreneurs! The PTA will be once again hosting a YEM for the 7 June, so you have plenty of time to start coming up with some ideas! All items must be made by students. Craft, baked goods, snacks, drinks, art and craft and room decorations were all popular last time- You are all welcome to come up with new ideas! See you there!

Panggilan kepada seluruh pengusaha muda! PTA akan menyelenggarakan lagi YEM pada tanggal 7 Juni sehingga anda mempunyai cukup waktu untuk mendapatkan ide baru! Semua barang HARUS dibuat oleh murid. Kerajinan tangan, kue-kue panggang, makanan ringan, minuman, lukisan dan dekorasi ruangan adalah sangat digemari pada acara yang lalu. Silakan datang dengan ide -ide naru dan sampai bertemu lagi!
PTA By-Laws Ratification
The new by laws have to be ratified by the PTA members. The PTA is asking all parents to please read though the new document by the next PTA meeting on 24 April, as a vote is needed in the meeting for ratification. The document is available at the Library as well to read.
PTA harus untuk mengesahkan undang – undang yang baru. PTA meminta seluruh orang tua murid untuk menyelesaikan membaca dokumen yang baru sebelum pertemuan yang akan datang pada tanggal 24 April karena pengambilan suara akan dilakukan untuk pengesahannya.
Bali Discovery Group 24 April
After the PTA meeting on April 24, there will be a Bali Discovery Group outing! There will be a visit to ‘Bottles for Earth’ and the Zero Waste shops in Canggu. Lunch afterwards, back to BIS by 2.30pm. More details to come closer to the event!
Setelah pertemuan PTA pada tanggal 24 April, kami akan mengadakan perjalanan untuk Bali Discovery dengan mengadakan kunjungan ke ‘ Botol untuk Bumi dan toko zero waste di canggu. Setelah makan siang, segera kembali ke BIS sebelum jam 14.30 wita. Detil akan diberikan pada waktu yang mendekati acara.
