Message from the Head of School – November 12, 2021

Some of the old BIS magic is creeping back into recess and lunch periods, ask your child about it…

January 2022
I originally shared that the first week back from the December/January holiday would be 100% online allowing our community time to quarantine for 8 days. As the international quarantine period has now been reduced to 3 days, we can get students back onto campus sooner. I will continue to monitor the situation but as of today, students would be welcome to campus on Wednesday, January 12. I will update if the quarantine period is adjusted further.

Domestic Travel Update
We are updating our Covid Protocols to reflect the Level 2 status of Bali. Domestic travelers are welcome to access campus with a negative PCR test after 3 days. Please see our updated Protocols here.

Student Attendance
Primary
Primary parents are responsible to inform our school secretary Ibu Deni (Primary) if their child is sick. As the goal is to provide an opportunity for rest and recuperation, online learning will not be available during this time. If your child feels well enough, they may wish to read or use some of our online subscriptions such as RAZ kids, Lexia and Mathletics. If after 72 hours, your child is well enough to work from home but is not yet ready to come back on campus, please communicate this with the homeroom teacher who will arrange to provide online learning on a case-by-case basis.

Please remember that any absence over 48 hours requires a doctor’s note.

Secondary
Parents have the responsibility to inform Ibu Riana (Secondary) if their child is sick. As the goal is to provide an opportunity for rest and recuperation, online learning will not be available during this time.  If after 72 hours, your child is well enough to work from home but is not yet ready to come back on campus, please communicate this with the Head of School who will arrange to provide online learning on a case-by-case basis.

Please remember that all summative assessments will be completed in person at school.

Please remember that any absence over 48 hours requires a doctor’s note.
